Qualifications

EducationBachelor's or Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.Work Experience6 to 8 years of experience in Value Engineering, Component engineering of electro mechanical products. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Core Responsibilities

◼Expertise on VAVE concept and have good experience in handling VE projects.◼Must have completed minimum 3 major VE savings projects.◼Hands on working knowledge of Siemens NX 3D CAD software & Team Centre.◼Hands on experience in New Product Design & Development (NPI/NPD) of electro-mechanical products.◼Good knowledge in diecasting, plastics & sheet metal component design & development.◼Good Knowledge on the Seal designs, IP ratings and rubber seal materials.◼Good knowledge on material selection for the parts based on application.◼Must have experience in working with Global teams and communicating with them technically.◼Good knowledge on GD&T, tolerance stack-up analysis, dimensions, and structural analysis.◼Knowledge on the Engineering Change Notification process for design changes.◼Ensure design of components and assemblies adhere to applicable industry and business standards.◼Establish and support knowledge-sharing networks throughout the HARTING Technology Group to promote collaboration and innovation.◼Work closely with cross functional teams to drive VAVE initiatives.

General Skills

◼Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, , or a related field◼Extensive knowledge of VAVE.◼Proficient in project management, capable of planning and executing projects related to the development of plastics and rubber materials.◼Strong communication skills, high self-motivation, and the ability to organize independently.◼A passion for innovation and a strong drive for finding new solutions, combined with a global mindset.◼Willingness to undertake occasional business trips lasting several days.◼A solid awareness of cost considerations.◼Fluent in English
