Job Description

Position Summary

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in AutoCAD-based furniture and millwork design, a strong understanding of architectural drawings, and familiarity with materials, joints, and detailing related to furniture manufacturing. Experience with Microvellum, Cabinet Vision, or other woodworking design software will be considered an added advantage.

The role involves technical guidance to junior team members, cross-functional collaboration, and adherence to quality and project timelines. Candidates must be open to working from office (WFO) and in two shifts.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare detailed 2D AutoCAD drawings for furniture and building product designs.
Interpret and work on architectural drawings for customized furniture and millwork projects.
Ensure accuracy in materials, joints, and detailing as per project specifications.
Apply value engineering principles to enhance quality and cost efficiency.
Support project planning, execution, and timely delivery of design outputs.
Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior team members.
Collaborate effectively across teams and communicate with international stakeholders.
Maintain high standards of quality using advanced quality tools and MES systems.
Open to working in two shifts.

Qualifications & Experience

Education:
BE in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent).
Experience:
2 to 7 years of relevant experience in furniture, millwork, or building product design.
Software Skills:
Proficiency in AutoCAD; working knowledge of Microvellum, Cabinet Vision, or similar woodworking software preferred.

Key Skills:

AutoCAD and furniture design expertise
Reading and interpreting architectural drawings
Understanding of millwork and joinery details
Value Engineering and Manufacturing Execution System (MES) awareness
Strong communication, project planning, and risk management skills
Intercultural communication and stakeholder management
