Design Engineer

Job Title: Design Engineer Job Description We are seeking a talented Design Engineer with a background in mechanical engineering and 4-6 years of experience, preferably within the manufacturing industry. The ideal candidate will have a strong working knowledge of SolidWorks CAD tools and expertise in plastic, sheet metal, and fabrication part modeling, drafting, and assembly. This role involves mechanical design, new product development, and plastic design. Responsibilities Design and develop new products and improve existing ones using SolidWorks CAD tools. Model, draft, and assemble parts for plastic, sheet metal, and fabrication projects. Manage product life-cycle including consumer, industrial, and storage equipment. Collaborate with teams to ensure designs meet manufacturing and cost requirements. Utilize expertise in injection molding for plastic product design. Create detailed 3D models, assemblies, and 2D drawings using SolidWorks. Ensure proper tolerances and manufacturing methods for cost-effective solutions. Essential Skills Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field. 4-6 years of experience in mechanical design within the manufacturing industry. Proficiency in SolidWorks CAD tools. Expertise in plastic and sheet metal part design. Strong understanding of plastic product design for injection molding. Ability to work on sheet metal covers/enclosures and electro-mechanical enclosures. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience in product design and life-cycle management. Ability to provide innovative solutions for consumer and industrial products. Work Environment The work environment is dynamic and collaborative, utilizing advanced CAD technologies such as SolidWorks. The role involves standard working hours and may require occasional overtime to meet project deadlines.
