Design Engineer (Electrical)

Location: Gandhinagar

Experience: 3+ years (preferably in the compressor industry)

Education: B.Tech/B.E. in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering; PG Diploma in Technical/Manufacturing (preferred)

Job Overview:

We are looking for a skilled Design Engineer (Electrical) to support existing products and manufacturing processes, specifically in electrical and control systems. The role involves product development, troubleshooting, cost optimization, and collaboration with suppliers to improve quality and reduce costs.

The ideal candidate should have experience in compressor systems and be comfortable with global communication (Japan, US, and China teams).

Key Responsibilities:

Product Development & Support

•  System registration of product data and BOM
• Design, engineering drawing creation & reliability evaluation of prototypes
• Creation of sales promotion & manufacturing support materials
• Implement improvements for safety, quality, and cost efficiency
• Guide teams on product improvement and regulatory compliance

Troubleshooting & Engineering Standards

• Provide design-related troubleshooting support
• Work closely with suppliers and QA teams to resolve issues
• Formulate and manage engineering standards & specifications

Project & Cost Management

• Manage the end-to-end product design lifecycle
• Collaborate with suppliers and manufacturers for component procurement
• Conduct cost-benefit analysis and feasibility studies

Compliance & Innovation

• Ensure regulatory, safety, and environmental compliance
• Implement IoT edge modules for digital services
• Drive process improvements and new engineering innovations

Required Skills & Knowledge:

•  Engineering Principles: Electrical & mechanical design for air compressors
•  Industry Standards: ASME, ISO, and other relevant regulations
•  CAD Software: Proficiency in design & modeling
•  Quality & Testing: Engineering calculations, simulations, and test procedures
•  Manufacturing & Production Knowledge
•  Problem-Solving & Troubleshooting
•  Strong Communication & Teamwork
