Design and Estimation Engineer

Role Overview: As an Estimation Specialist, you will be responsible for preparing detailed cost estimates, BOQs, and quotations for interior projects. You will study drawings, specifications, and tender documents to identify scope and requirements. Sourcing and verifying rates for materials, labor, and subcontractors will be crucial, along with evaluating vendor quotations and negotiating pricing when necessary. Your role will also involve ensuring that all estimates are accurate, competitive, and submitted within deadlines. Additionally, you will support management in project budgeting and cost control during execution. Key Responsibilities: - Prepare detailed cost estimates, BOQs, and quotations for interior projects - Study drawings, specifications, and tender documents to identify scope and requirements - Source and verify rates for materials, labor, and subcontractors - Evaluate vendor quotations and negotiate pricing when necessary - Ensure all estimates are accurate, competitive, and submitted within deadlines - Support management in project budgeting and cost control during execution Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's degree / Diploma in Interior Design, Civil Engineering, or Architecture - 5 years of experience in interior design estimation and detailing (fit-out or furniture industry preferred) - Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, and MS Excel (knowledge of Revit or 3ds Max is an advantage) - Strong analytical and numerical skills for cost estimation - Excellent attention to detail, time management, and multitasking ability - Good communication and presentation skills Additional Details: The company prefers candidates with experience in modular furniture, workspace, or turnkey interior projects. Familiarity with various materials, finishes, and interior construction methods, as well as an understanding of design-to-production workflows, is considered advantageous. (Note: Work location is in-person and the job type is full-time.)
