Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities :

Cost Accounting: Maintain and update the standard cost system, ensuring accuracy and integrity of cost data. Calculate and analyze actual costs of goods manufactured (COGM) and cost of goods sold (COGS).
Cost Analysis: Conduct detailed analysis of manufacturing costs, including direct materials, direct labor, and overhead. Identify cost variances and provide explanations for deviations from standard costs. Prepare cost reports and present findings to management.
Inventory Management: Oversee inventory costing and valuation. Participate in physical inventory counts and reconciliations. Analyze inventory turnover and identify opportunities for optimization.
Budgeting & Forecasting: Assist in the development and monitoring of the annual budget. Prepare cost forecasts and provide input into the financial planning process.
Process Improvement: Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives and process improvements. Collaborate with other departments to streamline operations and reduce costs.
Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant accounting standards and regulations.
Reporting: Prepare and submit timely and accurate cost reports, including variance analysis, cost of production reports, and other related reports.
ERP System: Exposed to any ERP system
Other Duties: Perform other related duties as assigned.

Desired Qualifications:

4 to 7+ years of experience in cost accounting within a manufacturing environment.
Strong understanding of cost accounting principles and techniques (e.g., standard costing, activity-based costing)
Proficiency in MS Excel (advanced level) and ERP systems.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
