Administer, direct and co-ordinate all activities of the hospital.
Carry out the objectives in the provision of health care.
Promote furtherance of education and research.
Participate in community health programs.
Have liaison with the governing authority, the medical staff and departments of the hospital.
Organize the functions of the hospital through appropriate departmentalization and the delegation of duties.
Establish the formal means of accountability from those to whom he has assigned his duties.
Regularly schedule interdepartmental and departmental meetings where appropriate.
Maintain liaison between medical staff and other departments.
Name appropriate departmental representatives to multidisciplinary committee of the hospital.
Prepare reports for & attend meetings with the governing bodies regarding the total activities of the institution as well as governmental development which affects health care.
Provide for personnel policies and practices that adequately support sound patient care and maintain accurate and complete personnel record.
Review and act upon the reports of authorized inspecting agencies.
Implement the control and effective utilization of physical and financial resources of the hospital.
Employee system of responsible accounting including budget and internal control.
Participate or represent in community, state and national hospital association and professional activities, which define the deliveries of health care services and facilities and to provide them with acceptable public relations program.
