Job Description

B.E. Electrical/Electronics, M.E. power electronics with 5 to 10 years of experience

Key activities include but not limited to:

Knowledge of product development & design of Non-Solar, Solar, domestic and industrial Inverter.

. validation/verification for inverter/UPS/solar products

Knowledge of SMPS design & development.

Knowledge of Solar Products design & development.

Advanced knowledge of power electronics converter topologies (DC/AC and DC/DC).

In-depth understanding of semiconductor device characteristics (MOSFETs, IGBTs, GaN, Rectifiers, AFE ICs, LDOs, Switching Regulators, LED Drivers).

Mastery of power electronics system design & analysis, including magnetic components and layout optimization.

Advanced skills in analog and digital circuit design & analysis.

Experience with advanced multilevel topologies and packaging techniques.

Strong background in thermal management of power converters and EMC/EMI mitigation techniques.

Expertise in modeling and simulation software for power converter design (e.g., MATLAB/Simulink, PSpice).

Knowledge of product failure analysis.

Responsible for technical deliveries of all tasks within Power Electronics product development.

Conversant with various power electronics converter topologies.

Hands on experience in using programmable power supplies, oscilloscope, Grid Simulator & Solar Simulator.

Understanding of various design and simulation tools used for product development.

Should have knowledge of product validation, benchmarking, BOM preparation, reviewing of schematic and PCB layout, report generation and product documentation

Work Independently without monitoring and follow-up

Developing innovative designs to meet all requirements for performance, reliability, cost and manufacturability

Expertise in PCB layout design and firmware development for microcontrollers.

Proficiency in controller designs and field-oriented controls.

Strong skills in debugging & troubleshooting of PCBs, analog & digital circuits.

Experience in engineering Design Verification Testing (DVT) and pre-compliance testing.

Understanding of EMI/EMC considerations and safety standards (UL/VDE/IEC/BIS/CCC).

Knowledge of quality systems (ISO 9001-15/QS9000) and reliability standards (MIL217F/BELLCORE).

Key Responsibilities

Advanced Power Electronics Development: Lead the design, analysis, and development of cutting-edge power electronics and power systems for Luminous Power Technologies products, including inverters, UPS systems, and energy storage solutions.

Team Management: Lead and mentor a set of power electronics engineers, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.

Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with electrical engineers, mechanical designers, PCB layout engineers, and firmware developers to ensure seamless integration and optimization of power systems.

System Performance Analysis: Conduct comprehensive power system studies, including load flow analysis, transient stability, and harmonic analysis, to assess and enhance system performance and reliability.

Circuit Design and Compliance: Perform detailed design and analysis of power electronic circuits, ensuring adherence to industry standards and safety regulations.

Documentation and Procedures: Prepare detailed design documentation, schematics, Bills of Materials (BoM), and test procedures to support product development and manufacturing.

Testing and Verification: Lead rigorous testing and verification processes for power electronics and power systems, both in laboratory and field settings, to ensure compliance with design specifications and quality standards.

Technical Leadership: Participate in design reviews, providing expert guidance to drive continuous improvement and innovation in power electronics solutions.

Production Support: Collaborate with suppliers and manufacturing teams to facilitate the transition of designs from R&D to mass production, addressing any design-related issues during the production phase.

Quality Assurance: Implement and maintain rigorous testing and validation processes to ensure product reliability and performance.

Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all products meet relevant industry standards and regulations.
