Deputy Head Blast Furnace Operations

As the Deputy Head of Blast Furnace Operations at ESL Steel Limited, you will be a crucial part of the company's debottlenecking and expansion plans in Jharkhand state. With a minimum of 10 years of experience and a BE/ B.Tech qualification in Metallurgy/Mechanical, your primary responsibility will be to ensure environment, health, and safety (EHS) at the workplace, aiming for zero harm, zero waste, and zero discharge. Building a skilled and motivated team, developing and implementing SOPs, and showcasing leadership in both regular and crisis situations are essential components of this role. Your key responsibilities will include: - Achieving targets related to cost, quantity, quality, availability, and OEE - Focusing on improvement initiatives, analyzing failures, and planning and budgeting targets - Coordinating with suppliers and customers for smooth operations and target achievement - Conducting regular performance reviews, gap analysis, and taking actions to address those gaps - Ensuring customer satisfaction Desired skills and knowledge for this position encompass expertise in blast furnace operations, managing blast furnace irregularities, familiarity with blast furnace raw materials, and understanding of statutory requirements.
