Key Responsibilities

Internal Audit Planning & Execution

Identify control gaps, process inefficiencies, and risks in business operation

Lead the development of annual risk-based audit plans, incorporating S/4HANA-specific risks, automated workflows, and system dependencies.

Plan, execute, and monitor audits of financial, operational, IT, and compliance processes.

Assess effectiveness of internal controls, including SAP S/4HANA embedded controls, GRC, workflows, automated approval matrix, SoD, and data integrity.

Perform end-to-end audits of SAP-driven processes:

• Procure-to-Pay (P2P)
• Order-to-Cash
• Record-to-Report (R2R)
• Inventory & Warehouse Management
• Production Planning & Plant Maintenance
• Treasury & Asset Accounting

SAP S/4HANA Specific Audit Responsibilities

Review transactional flows, master data governance, Fiori apps, and embedded analytics within S/4HANA.

Assess configuration controls, workflow validations, tolerance limits, and automated business rules.

Conduct ITGC reviews covering access controls, change management, backup and recovery, and system monitoring.

Evaluate SoD conflicts, critical access, and GRC (Governance Risk Compliance) rule sets.

Assess integration points between S/4HANA and:

• SAP Ariba / SuccessFactors / Concur
• Legacy systems
• Non-SAP applications

Use SAP audit tools:

• SAP Audit Trails
• SAP Query / Analytical apps
• SAP GRC Access Control / Process Control
• Embedded Analytics (CDS Views)

dvisory & Continuous Improvement

Advise business teams on control design during system enhancements.

Identify opportunities to strengthen process standardization, automation, and workflow improvements.

Conduct special investigations, forensic reviews, and data analytics using SAP datasets.

Automation & Process Improvement

Lead initiatives to automate audit routines, risk assessments, and reporting dashboards.

Collaborate with IT and business teams to integrate audit analytics and continuous monitoring.

Enhance efficiency of audit cycles through digitization and workflow automation.

Reporting & Communication

Prepare audit findings and recommendations with actionable insights supported by analytics.

Present audit results to management and key stakeholders in clear and concise formats.

Track and monitor implementation of corrective action plans.
