Deputy General Manager - SCM (Biomass)

1. Basic Function:

The DGM SCM (South Zone) will lead PRESPLs business development, biomass operations, aggregation centers, client delivery, and overall P & L for the South Zone.

The role requires building scalable BD pipelines, ensuring reliable biomass supply chains, driving O&M and BOOT opportunities, and ensuring high client satisfaction across all South Zone contracts.

2. Key Result Areas (KRAs):

a) Business Development & Client Acquisition

• Drive zone-level BD with a target of

  2025% YoY growth

  in new clients.
• Build a strong pipeline across breweries, pharma, FMCG, textiles, chemical plants, and CBG developers.
• Achieve

  client retention

  and ensure timely renewals.
• Lead techno-commercial proposals, pricing, and negotiation.

b) Biomass Aggregation & Supply Chain Management

• Own the biomass sourcing strategy for Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Telangana, and Andhra Pradesh.
• Develop farmer networks, aggregator networks, and price discovery models.

c) Operational Delivery & Client Management

• Ensure

  on-time delivery

  across all clients.
• Maintain adherence to contractual SLAs on quality, weight, GCV, moisture, and supply continuity.
• Oversee daily operations, field officers, transporters, and labor contractors.

d) O&M / BOOT Projects (Steam-at-Cost)

• Identify and convert

  at least 2 O&M or BOOT proposals per year

• Build site teams, operational processes, and compliance systems.
• Ensure plant availability, boiler performance, and safety systems.

e) P&L, Cashflow & Vendor Management

• Own zone P&L.
• Reduce transport and handling costs.
• Strengthen vendor rating, onboarding, and performance management.

f) Regulatory Compliance & Documentation

• Ensure documentation for sourcing , dispatch, QC, and audits is complete and maintained.

g) Process Improvement & Team Leadership

• Build capability of BD, SCM, and operational teams through structured mentoring.
• Strengthen review mechanisms: Ops reviews, Cashflow reviews.
