Profile: Deputy General Manager (DGM) – Sales & Marketing (Pharma Industry)-Domestic

Company is a leading manufacturer of Empty Hard Gelatine Capsules for Pharma Industry and second largest producer of Capsules in India.

Preferred Background

  1. MBA in Marketing / B-Tech / M.Pharma
  2. 10+ years in marketing to Pharma Industry in India with at least 3–5 years in a senior marketing or DGM role.
  3. Hands-on experience in B2B marketing of Excipients, APIs, or Nutraceutical ingredients

Overview

Dynamic and highly connected marketing professional with over a decade of progressive experience in the Indian pharmaceutical industry. Demonstrated success in B2B marketing, brand management, and strategic alliances, with strong and active relationships across top Indian pharmaceutical companies including formulation manufacturers, API suppliers, CDMOs, and marketing partners. Known for driving growth through relationship-based marketing, launching high-impact campaigns, and fostering long-term business partnerships.


Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement national marketing strategies aligned with business objectives.
  • Maintain and leverage deep relationships with key decision-makers in Indian Pharma companies to drive business development and revenue growth.
  • Represent the company at major industry events (e.g., CPHI India, iPHEX, PharmaLytica).
  • Monitor competitor activity and market trends, providing insights for senior leadership.

Key Relationships & Networks

  • Strong professional network with Purchase, Marketing, and top management teams at big Pharma Corporates e.g Sun Pharma, Cipla, Zydus, Dr. Reddy’s, Lupin, Mankind, Alkem, Glenmark, and other mid-sized players.
  • Regular liaison with Pharma Associations and Pharma companies all over India
  • And most importantly the ability to get orders and payments
