Position Reports To

: CDP

Positions Supervised

: Commi I/II/III

Position Purpose

Under the general guidance and supervision of the CDP, and within the limits of established procedures of the organization, follows instructions in order to ensure kitchen is in smooth working order.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1.Very closely work and share all major responsibility of the CDP. 2.In coordination with the CDP order food items from the store.3.Ensuring that all food items that are purchased are received and checked against the Invoice. Then stored according to FIFO.4.Ensuring that the Department is clean at any given time.5.Ensuring that all Equipment is looked after and any faults are reported to the CDP.6.Making sure that all stock is labelled and rotated.7.In absent of the Chef de Partie will act on his/her behalf when appointed.8.Ensures that resources are used effectively, minimizing waste to protect our environment and to reduce costs.9.Following and implementation of standard recipes10.Performs related duties and special assignments as and when required.
