Job Description

Role & responsibilities

  • Food Preparation

    : Cook and present a variety of South Indian items (e.g., dosas, vadas, idlis, sambar, chutneys, regional curries).
  • Quality Control

    : Ensure authenticity, flavor balance, and consistency in all dishes, using fresh, high-quality ingredients.
  • Kitchen Management

    : Maintain strict cleanliness, hygiene, and food safety standards (HACCP, etc.).
  • Inventory

    : Assist with stock rotation, proper food storage, and minimize spoilage.
  • Menu Development

    : May help create new dishes or specials.
  • Teamwork

    : Work with other kitchen staff, follow instructions, and potentially train junior cooks.

Preferred candidate profile

Proven experience as a South Indian Cook or Chef.

  • Deep knowledge of South Indian ingredients, spices, and cooking methods.
  • Ability to work under pressure in a busy kitchen.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Good communication and teamwork.
