Room Service Order Taker

Role & responsibilities

• Taking and delivering orders:

  Answer room service calls, accurately take orders, and input them into the hotel's system.

• Food and beverage delivery:

  Prepare and carry trays of food and drinks to guest rooms, ensuring presentation and temperature standards are met.

• Guest interaction:

  Greet guests, identify the order, and answer questions about hotel services.

• Order setup:

  Set up tables and chairs in guest rooms and ensure guests have all necessary utensils, condiments, and drinks.

• Clearing and cleanup:

  Clear used trays and dishes from guest rooms and hallways and maintain a clean and organized room service area.

• Payment processing:

  Present checks to guests and handle payment transactions.

• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Professional demeanor and appearance
• Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays
• Prior experience in a similar role is often preferred

Additional duties

• Coordinate with the kitchen to ensure special requests are handled correctly.
• Address guest concerns and requests in a timely and appropriate manner.
• Restock items and assist other staff as needed.
• Adhere to all health, safety, and company regulations.
