Key Responsibilities1 Functional Leadership
Analyze the business requirements and convert them to technical requirements for the Payments platform implementation, ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture, IT standards and business objectives.Be a "go to" person for all functional needs for the requirementsBe a trusted advisor for business stakeholders on the functional implementationsEstablish and enforce governance needs, compliance with security, scalability and performance requirements.2 Solution Design, Development and IntegrationBe part of the solution design and development discussions. Provide inputs for the seamless integration with vendor solutions like Finastra GPP and with bank's core and downstream systems like CASA / Trade Finance / Lending / Markets.Take ownership for the data models and dictionaries between systems for the appropriate integrationHave a complete control on the requirements for the integrations with third-party Payment systems and regulatory systemsSupport system migration, ensuring minimal disruption and data integrity during transitional phases.Collaborate with vendors, internal IT teams, and stakeholders to provide the required solutions and troubleshoot issues wherever applicable. 3 Risk and Quality ManagementIdentify and mitigate operational and technical risks throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring high-quality deliverables that meet business and regulatory requirements.Conduct configuration reviews, performance tuning to ensure robust and scalable implementations. 4 Stakeholder and Vendor ManagementWork closely with business stakeholders, IT teams, and vendors to ensure alignment between technical and business objectives.Act as the primary liaison between internal teams and platform vendors, ensuring smooth integration and issue resolution.Provide functional insights and updates to senior management, supporting strategic decision-making and project governance.5 Continuous ImprovementStay updated with emerging industry trends, driving innovation in technology and core banking systems.Document best practices, functional standards, and lessons learned to support future implementations and organizational knowledge sharing.Experience RequirementsStrong expertise in Payment systems, with functional knowledge and implementation experience with focus on business analysis, testing, integration and implementation of solutions. Finastra GPP experience is highly preferred.Extensive experience in Cross border and domestic payment implementations across various markets (preferably APAC region).Extensive experience leading functional delivery of large-scale, multi-market platform implementations in the international banking or financial services sector.Proven track record in overseeing solution design, integration, and end-to-end implementation for banking platforms.In-depth knowledge of security, compliance, and regulatory requirements for platform technology in the financial sector.Ability to manage and collaborate with geographically distributed teams across multiple APAC markets. Qualifications1 Education:Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.2 Certifications:Any cloud certifications could be added advantage (AWS or Azure)SWIFT Certifications if any, for instance, ISO 20022, could be value add.Other Product Certifications will be advantageous. 3 ISO 20022 Knowledge:ISO 20022 knowledge on the message formats for SWIFTHands on experience working with both MT and MX message details and nuances4 Key
Skills:SQL:SQL knowledge will be important. Any tool knowledge of SQL will be mandatory. Documentation:BRD/FSD preparation experience, experience in coming up with test scenarios, reviewing test cases etc. will be required.
Additional Information:The candidate should have minimum 15 years of experience in Payments Fundamentals.This position is based at our Chennai office.A 15 years full time education is required.
