Delivery Driver

Job Summary:

We are looking for a responsible and punctual Driver who owns a tempo vehicle to support company logistics and daily operational requirements. The role involves transporting goods, raw materials, and other items safely between locations, ensuring timely and secure deliveries while maintaining the vehicle in good working condition.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Transportation & Delivery

• Drive company goods, materials, or equipment to designated locations as per schedule.
• Ensure safe loading, transport, and unloading of items.
• Maintain proper delivery documentation (inward/outward register, delivery challans, etc.).

2. Vehicle Maintenance & Upkeep

• Ensure the tempo is in good running condition at all times.
• Conduct routine vehicle checks (fuel, oil, water, brakes, tyres, etc.).
• Keep the vehicle clean and well-maintained, both inside and outside.
• Inform management immediately about any breakdowns, repairs, or maintenance needs.

3. Coordination & Communication

• Coordinate with the Admin and Operations team for daily transport schedules.
• Maintain communication during transit for updates or changes in delivery plans.
• Assist in loading/unloading materials when required.

4. Compliance & Documentation

• Hold a valid commercial driving license (LMV / transport category).
• Ensure all vehicle papers (insurance, RC, pollution certificate) are valid and up to date.
• Follow all traffic, safety, and company regulations while driving.

5. General Support

• Assist in small office errands or dispatches when not engaged in transport.
• Maintain records of fuel usage and mileage.
• Represent the company professionally during all interactions at delivery points.

Requirements & Qualifications:

• Must own a tempo vehicle (commercial) in good condition.
• Valid commercial driving license with clean driving record.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in driving light commercial vehicles.
• Knowledge of local routes, industrial areas, and delivery schedules.
• Punctual, responsible, and disciplined attitude.
