Job Description:

This position is primarily responsible for international transportation, IMPEX (import/export) processes, trade compliance, distribution and domestic transportation for the assigned geographical region. He/She is also responsible for all postponement and VAS (value-added services) activities that are required to meet regulatory requirements.

Inbound Freight (IBF):

• In collaboration with International Transportation (IRTE), be responsible for performance of Freight Forwarders nominated to perform international air and ocean transportation services. Ensure KPIs are met. Join monthly / quarterly performance review meetings.
• Ensure track and traceability of Inbound and Outbound orders shipped via international transportation
• Oversee the freight bills validation and payment process.
• Responsible for COGS budget in the area of monthly freight spend reporting and analysis

Trade Compliance (TC):

• Responsible for performance of Customs Brokers nominated to perform customs clearance and IMPEX declaration services. Ensure KPIs are met.
• Be familiar IMPEX and Customs clearance/declaration processes and ensure SOP are updated
• Have thorough understanding on Customs and Regulatory laws and requirements. Be familiar with Import tax and duty requirements as well as Free Trade Agreements (FTA) that impacts the assigned geographical region.
• Collaborate with Regional Trade Compliance team on trade compliance related knowledge sharing and TC related projects.
• Responsible for COGS budget in the area of monthly import tax and duty reporting and analysis

Postponement:

• Responsible for performance of 3PLs nominated to perform postponement or other value added services. Ensure KPIs are met. Run monthly/quarterly performance review meetings.
• Be the key contact for requirements on new or changes in postponement requirements.
• Lead the end-to-end set up of any new/changed postponement process including artwork approvals, materials procurement, process set up, quality certification and operators training.
• Responsible for COGS budget in the area of monthly postponement services spend reporting and analysis

Distribution & Transportation:

• Support Distribution & Transportation Manager in the following focus areas:
• Monitor supply chain performance goals (OTIF-D). Initiate and lead corrective / improvement actions.
• Manage supplier relationships and achieve associated performances
• Ensure adherence to guidelines and principles of EH&S and S&OD
• Complying to market regulations and JNJ quality requirements and fully accommodating internal & external audit with minimal findings
• Manage costs against budget
• Engage in capacity studies to ensure that warehouse needs can be met.
• Partner with cross functional team on new products introduction and product life cycle management.
• Deploying the warehouse and distribution technology to improve operation efficiency
