Eligibility Criteria:

• Qualification:

• PhD in Journalism, Mass Communication, Media Studies, or a related field.
  

• Experience:

• Minimum 12 years in teaching and/or research in higher education.
• At least 5 years in a senior academic or administrative leadership role (e.g., HOD, Director, Dean).
  

• Research:

• Minimum of

  12 publications in peer-reviewed or Scopus - indexed journals

  .
• Successfully supervised at least

  one PhD scholar.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide strategic leadership to the School of Communication & Media, overseeing academic planning, administration, and growth.
• Drive curriculum development and pedagogical innovation aligned with global media and communication trends.
• Promote a culture of research excellence and encourage faculty publishing in reputed journals.
• Foster industry linkages and collaborations with media houses, agencies, and government bodies.
• Guide faculty development, student engagement, and quality assurance processes.
• Represent the school in university-wide decision-making, accreditation processes, and external academic forums.
• Lead initiatives in digital media, journalism ethics, new media technologies, and interdisciplinary communication studies.
