Role -
The Dean / CEO is the Chief Executive leader responsible for the strategic direction, operational excellence, and academic integrity of the institution. The role involves expanding institutional capacity, fostering a culture of 21st-century learning, and maintaining global standards of excellence through international accreditations.
Key Responsibilities -
- Strategic & Institutional Leadership: Define and deliver the schools vision and long-term strategic plans; oversee large-scale campus development and infrastructure projects (eg, expanding to multi-campus models)
- Academic Oversight: Ensure the high-quality delivery of international curricula (IBDP, IGCSE) and drive innovation in pedagogy, including the integration of digital tools and 21st-century skills
- Operational & Financial Management: Act as the accounting officer, managing multi-million dollar budgets, optimizing resource allocation, and ensuring financial sustainability
- Accreditation & Compliance: Lead global accreditation processes (eg, CIS, NEASC) and ensure the school meets all statutory, regulatory, and legal requirements
- Stakeholder Engagement: Represent the institution to parents, board members, and international bodies; serve as a spokesperson and cultivate global educational partnerships
- People & Culture: Recruit high-quality faculty, oversee professional development, and foster a high-performance culture that emphasizes inclusion and ethical conduct

- Visionary Strategic Planning: Ability to lead systemic change and adapt to future trends in global education
- Executive Communication: Exceptional verbal and written skills for high-level negotiation, public speaking, and motivating diverse stakeholders
- Complex Problem Solving: Critical thinking to navigate unpredictable challenges in a fast-paced environment
- International Mindset: Deep understanding of multicultural environments and global educational standards (IB expertise is highly preferred)
- Financial & Project Management: Proven ability to handle large-scale institutional budgets and infrastructure projects
- Digital Leadership: Advocacy for and proficiency in technology-driven educational transformations
Education:
- A Masters Degree or Doctorate (PhD) in Education, Educational Leadership, or a related academic discipline is typically mandatory
- Professional certifications in international school leadership or management (eg, from CIS or IB) are highly desirable
Experience:
- 20-25+ years of total experience in international education
- 10-15+ years in senior leadership roles (Principal, Head of School, or CEO)
- A strong track record in leading International Baccalaureate (IB) programs and global accreditation visits
- Demonstrated experience in managing complex organizational change and multi-campus developments
