DCS Engineer

As a DCS Lead Engineer at our Pune Centre of Excellence, you will play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and testing Distributed Control System (DCS) software solutions for various industries such as Oil & Gas, Petrochemicals, Chemicals, Food & Beverages, Pharma, and Pulp & Paper. Your primary responsibility will involve collaborating with customers globally to understand their process requirements and deliver customized DCS software applications. Your Responsibilities Will Include: - Leading the project team to ensure successful project execution within budget and timeline - Designing, implementing, and testing DCS software applications, including human interface systems and control logic - Supporting project manager in progress tracking, resource planning, budgeting, and scheduling - Acting as the primary technical interface with customers throughout the project scope - Developing design specifications and configuration guidelines based on customer demands - Creating project-specific SW HMI Library elements and overseeing SW HMI implementation - Conducting technical reviews, developing test specifications, and supervising test protocols - Participating in FAT/SAT/Commissioning activities and addressing technical queries - Monitoring scope creeps and changes while proactively escalating project issues with mitigation plans - Coaching and developing system engineer skills within the team - Coordinating with system integrators to ensure clarity on scope, schedule, and quality expectations Additionally, You Are Expected to: - Have 6 to 8 years of experience in DCS software engineering with leadership skills - Possess computer literacy (MS Office) and software programming skills - Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication abilities Preferred Qualifications: - Engineering Degree in Instrumentation/Electronics/Telecommunication or related field - Experience with DeltaV system, knowledge of Visual Basic, and basic understanding of TypeScript - Innovative mindset for delivering quality output efficiently Our Offer to You: Joining Emerson provides you with the opportunity to make a meaningful impact through your work.
