Job Description

DC Manager

  1. Strategic Leadership & Operations Oversight:

    Lead and oversee day-to-day operations across shifts and multiple sites, ensuring end-to-end responsibility for DC uptime, reliability, and compliance. Serve as SPOC for critical escalations and cross-functional coordination.
  2. Service Delivery & SLA Governance:

    Ensure adherence to SLAs and KPIs across all data center operations including incident response, RCA management, CAPA implementation, and stakeholder communication.
  3. Asset Lifecycle & Capacity Planning:

    Oversee asset lifecycle management, warranty tracking, AMC governance, and capacity planning to ensure alignment with business growth and redundancy requirements.
  4. Preventive Maintenance & Vendor Governance:

    Drive 100% PPM compliance with OEMs and internal schedules. Implement robust vendor management practices including performance reviews, SLA adherence, safety compliance, and cost control.
  5. Audit, Compliance & Risk Management:

    Ensure 100% compliance with all statutory, safety, and audit requirements (internal and external). Oversee certifications, DR readiness, HSE practices, and risk assessments.
  6. Budgeting, Forecasting & Energy Management:

    Drive operational cost efficiency, monitor energy consumption trends, and lead initiatives for sustainability and optimal resource usage.
  7. BCP/DR & Security Oversight:

    Ensure business continuity and disaster recovery plans are in place, tested, and updated. Oversee physical and logical security controls in coordination with security teams.
  8. Team Development & Cross-functional Collaboration:

    Mentor and manage DC operations teams across shifts. Collaborate with Customer Engineering, Projects, Compliance, and senior leadership for strategic alignment and customer satisfaction.

Key Competencies & Skills

  • Strong leadership and team management across distributed data center operations
  • In-depth technical expertise in electrical/mechanical systems: HT panels, UPS, PAC, Chillers, AHU, STP, HSD systems, etc.
  • Hands-on experience with IBMS, EMS, and DCIM systems
  • Incident & RCA management, BCP/DR planning, Risk & Compliance management
  • Vendor and contract management, negotiation, and SLA governance
  • Strong analytical, documentation, reporting, and presentation skills
  • Effective stakeholder management and communication

Educational Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering (mandatory)
  • Preferred: Post-graduate qualification in Operations Management or Facilities Management

Experience Required

  • Minimum

    12-15 years

    of progressive experience in

    data center operations

    or

    critical facility management

    , with

    at least 3-5 years in a leadership role

    managing large-scale or multi-site operations.
  • Strong exposure to Tier III/IV DC operations and industry certifications preferred (e.g., Uptime Institute, ISO, ITIL, etc.)
