Position: DBMS Trainer

Location: Remote (Bhubaneswar, Odisha)

Training Duration: 14 Hours (Online: 2 hrs/session, plus 6 hrs In-Person session in Bhubaneswar)

Schedule: 3 days per week (2 hours/session online + one separate 6-hour in-person session)

Experience Required: Minimum 4+ years in DBMS/Advanced DBMS (industry or training)

Job description :

ExcelR is seeking an experienced SQL trainer to deliver a structured and hands-on Database Management Systems & SQL training program. The training spans 8 days, combining online and offline sessions. The trainer will be responsible for teaching theoretical concepts, guiding practical exercises, and mentoring learners to implement SQL queries in real-world applications, culminating in a Library/Inventory Management System project.

*Responsibilities:*

Deliver engaging sessions on SQL concepts including DDL, DML, DQL, DCL, TCL.

Train learners in database design, schema modifications, and data manipulation.

Teach operators, aggregate functions, clauses, and constraints with practical examples.

Guide learners through joins, subqueries, stored procedures, functions, views, triggers, and indexing.

Mentor students in implementing real-world projects using SQL (e.g., Library/Inventory Database).

Assess learners’ progress and provide constructive feedback.

Ensure curriculum coverage within the given timeframe.

*Skills Required:*

Strong expertise in SQL and relational databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, MS SQL Server, or Oracle).

Proficiency in database design, query optimization, and data handling techniques.

Ability to explain advanced SQL concepts such as stored procedures, triggers, indexing, and constraints in a simple manner.

Experience with hands-on projects involving real datasets.

Strong teaching, mentoring, and communication skills.

*Qualifications:*

Education: Bachelor’s/Master’s in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, or related field.

Experience: 4+ years of professional experience in SQL and database management. Prior teaching/training experience preferred.
