Job Description

Role Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain ETL processes using DataStage. Collaborate with data architects to ensure optimal data integration strategies. Analyze source systems and define requirements for data extraction. Implement data quality checks and validation processes. Conduct performance tuning and optimization of ETL workflows. Work closely with business analysts to understand data requirements. Develop and maintain technical documentation for ETL processes. Perform troubleshooting and resolve data-related issues promptly. Participate in code reviews to ensure best practices are followed. Support data migrations and integrations for new projects. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with business goals. Assist in preparing regular status reports for stakeholders. Implement and maintain data governance standards. Stay updated with industry trends and emerging technologies. Provide training and support to junior team members as needed. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field. Minimum of 3 years of experience in DataStage development. Strong understanding of ETL processes and data warehousing concepts. Proficient in SQL for database querying and manipulation. Experience with data modeling and database design. Knowledge of performance tuning techniques in DataStage. Familiarity with Agile development methodologies. Exceptional problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Experience with data governance and data quality standards. Knowledge of big data technologies is a plus. Experience in scripting languages (like Python or Shell) is advantageous. Willingness to learn new technologies and methodologies. Prior experience in client-facing roles will be considered an asset.
