Databricks Lakehouse Enterprise Data Architect and Modeller

Qualcomm India Private Limited is seeking an Enterprise Data Architect or Data Modelling Lead to play a critical role in shaping the future of data capabilities as part of the Enterprise Data Transformation (EDT) program. As a visionary leader, you will drive the build-out of a modern enterprise-wide lake house with scalable, reliable, and business-intuitive data architecture to support self-service capabilities across Data & Analytics solutions. In this role, you will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to develop an enterprise data model that can support Analytics, GenBI, AI/ML, and Data Sandboxing solutions. Your responsibilities will include defining and leading the vision, strategy, and roadmap for the data platform, ensuring alignment with business objectives and technological advancements. You will focus on the rapid delivery of design and development of data models in advanced cloud-based solutions, such as the AWS-based Databricks platform, while also mapping out existing legacy data warehouses to support current and future analytics needs. Additionally, you will work on self-service enablement, cross-functional collaboration, and challenging the status quo by encouraging innovation and continuous improvement. To be successful in this role, you should have at least 14 years of IT-related work experience in the Data and Analytics domain, with a Bachelor's degree. You should also possess strong enterprise data modeling experience, interaction with senior leadership, and a deep technical understanding of building complex data models. Strong functional knowledge across various corporate functions, hands-on technical skills, and the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams are essential. A passion for understanding complex data solutions and driving projects to completion is also required. Minimum qualifications include at least 7 years of IT-related work experience with a Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or 9 years of IT-related work experience without a Bachelor's degree. Additionally, you should have experience with programming, SQL or NoSQL databases, and data structures and algorithms. Preferred qualifications include a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Technology, or a related field, along with at least 12 years of experience in data management, data engineering, or data science roles. You should also have a strong understanding and hands-on experience with lakehouse medallion data architecture and governance, as well as proven implementation experience with migrating legacy DW data models. Experience with machine learning, artificial intelligence, and predictive analytics is a plus, along with excellent leadership, communication, and collaboration skills in a global hybrid delivery model.
