Database Engineer

The DBA will work as part of the enterprise DBOps team to manage and maintain the enterprise applications for Logitech business groups. This position will be located in Chennai, India and requires working in a 24/7 shift. In this role, you will serve as the primary system administrator for the maintenance and availability of Oracle EBS and enterprise BI/reporting tools. You will support business and IT users in case of issues with system access, availability, and performance. Additionally, you will execute day-to-day configuration changes, troubleshoot issues, and provide 24/7 support for the platforms. Moreover, you will perform Oracle E-business Suite application patching, cloning, upgrade, and typical application management activities. You will also administer and support enterprise BI tools such as OBIEE, Hyperion, Tableau, and Pentaho, providing technical guidance for systems and process optimization opportunities. Key Qualifications: - Must have 3-7 years of experience in managing Oracle Apps (R12.2) in production & development environments - Experience in Oracle WLS, database & RAC administration - Experience in managing ETL tools like Pentaho - Experience in MSSQL, MySQL, and Postgres - Knowledge in the administration of Tableau, OBIEE, and Snowflake db - Good experience in Automation - Must be a self-starter with the ability to work independently without constant supervision - Must be able to work flexible hours (24/7 shift) to collaborate with Global IT and business team members Preferable skills and behaviors include experience in AWS, OCI technologies, and services. Education: BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent.
