Job Description

Database Engineer

Key Responsibilities

Design, implement, and maintain database systems (MS SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL, etc.)
Optimize queries and database performance for large-scale applications
Manage database backup, recovery, and disaster recovery strategies
Ensure database security, integrity, and availability
Work closely with development teams to design efficient database structures
Monitor database performance and proactively resolve issues
Create and maintain technical documentation, procedures, and standards

Required Skills & Qualifications

Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
Minimum
3+ years of experience
as a Database Engineer / Database Administrator
Strong knowledge of
MS SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL
Experience in
stored procedures, triggers, indexing, and query optimization
Familiarity with
cloud databases (AWS, Azure, GCP)
will be an added advantage
Good problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
Strong communication and teamwork skills
