Job Description

We are seeking a talented and experienced Database Developer lead to join our team. The ideal candidate will have 2-11 years of experience in database development, with a strong understanding of database design principles, SQL programming, and data modeling. The Database Developer lead will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining database solutions to support our organization//'s data needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain relational databases for various applications and systems within the organization.
• Perform database tuning and optimization to ensure optimal performance and scalability.
• Develop SQL queries, stored procedures, and functions to support application development and data retrieval.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and design database solutions that meet business needs.
• Perform data modeling to design logical and physical database structures.
• Implement and maintain database security measures to protect sensitive data.
• Troubleshoot and resolve database issues promptly.
• Document database design, processes, and procedures.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor//'s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• 2-11 years of experience in database development.
• Proficiency in SQL programming and experience with relational database management systems Pref PostgreSQL (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server).
• Strong understanding of database design principles and data modeling techniques.
• Experience with database tuning, optimization, and performance monitoring.
• Knowledge of database security best practices.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, Cassandra) is a plus.
• Familiarity with ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes and tools.
• Knowledge of cloud-based database services (e.g., AWS RDS, Azure SQL Database).
• Certification in database administration or development is a plus.
