Database Developer

Technical Lead

Key Responsibilities:

Technical Leadership & Project Execution

• Lead the end-to-end execution of complex data integration and analytics solutions, including design, development, testing, and deployment.
• Coordinate with multiple stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of high-priority, business-critical projects.
• Provide technical direction, enforce coding standards, and ensure performance tuning and data management best practices.
• Lead resolution of

  Sev1/Sev2

  incidents and drive root cause analysis to prevent recurrence.
• Collaborate with architects and business teams to evaluate system requirements and design scalable, robust solutions.

Database Development & Optimization

• Write, optimize, and maintain complex

  SQL queries

  across

  Oracle

  and

  MS SQL Server

  environments.
• Develop stored procedures, triggers, and scripts to support data operations and analytics needs.
• Troubleshoot data mapping/translation issues across source-target pipelines.

Cloud & Infrastructure Management

• Design and support scalable solutions in

  cloud environments

  such as

  AWS

  or

  GCP

  .
• Work closely with DevOps and Infrastructure teams to manage performance, cost, and security.
• Implement best practices for cloud-based data storage, compute, and data processing services.

Team & Stakeholder Management

• Manage and mentor a team of

  7+ engineers

  , including performance reviews, skill development, and team building.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including business users, analysts, and data engineers to gather requirements and deliver impactful solutions.
• Create and maintain

  technical documentation

  , architecture diagrams, and knowledge repositories.
• Lead stakeholder communication through reports, presentations, and technical demos using

  Excel

  ,

  PowerPoint

  , and visualization tools.

Process Improvement & Automation

• Develop

  scripts

  to automate routine data processes and reduce manual overhead.
• Identify opportunities for

  cost savings

  efficiency

  scalability

  in data workflows.
• Continuously improve development and operational processes through innovation and tooling.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• 7+ years

  of experience in delivering time-critical, cross-functional data projects.

• 3+ years

  of experience in a

  Technical Lead

  role, including project ownership and team mentorship.

• 5+ years

  of hands-on experience working with

  health plan data

  , including

  enrollments, claims, and payments

  .
• Proven experience leading teams of

  7 or more engineers

  .
• Expertise in

  SQL

  (Oracle, MS SQL) with the ability to write and optimize complex queries.
• Experience with

  Sev1/Sev2 incident handling

  and real-time troubleshooting.
• Proficiency in

  scripting

  (e.g., Shell, Python) for automation and debugging.
• Strong skills in

  Excel

  ,

  PowerPoint

  , and delivering impactful stakeholder presentations.
• Exposure to

  cloud platforms

  (AWS or GCP) in a data engineering or infrastructure role.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Knowledge of data governance and compliance standards in healthcare (e.g., HIPAA).
• Experience with data integration tools (e.g., Informatica, Talend, Apache Nifi).
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and project management tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence).
• Understanding of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
