Roles and Responsibilities:

Monitor and tune database performance to ensure optimal operation.
Provide consultation to Application Development teams on tuning and best practices.
Lead troubleshooting calls with various infrastructure and application teams to resolve complex database issues.
Collaborate with MongoDB vendors to identify root causes of database problems.
Install and manage MongoDB software, including building replica sets as per requirements and standards.
Design and implement redundancy and fail-over strategies to enhance database reliability.
Develop and execute backup and restoration strategies, ensuring the ability to restore to a point in time.
Apply quarterly patches and troubleshoot any issues arising from patching.
Setup and manage Ops Manager infrastructure, including monitoring setup.
Automate routine database operations using Ansible and integrate with CI/CD tools.
Participate in 24/7 on-call support to resolve incident tickets and ensure database availability.
Mentor team members to foster talent development.
