Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and dependable Database Administrator (DBA) to manage, monitor, and support SQL Server databases for a banking sector project. The role requires a strong foundation in database administration along with hands-on experience in SSIS and ETL processes to support data integration and operational needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, configure, monitor, and maintain Microsoft SQL Server databases.
• Perform database backup, restore, and recovery operations.
• Monitor database performance and apply tuning and optimization techniques.
• Manage SQL Server Agent jobs, alerts, and scheduled tasks.
• Design, deploy, and maintain SSIS packages and ETL workflows.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize ETL job performance.
• Ensure database security, access controls, and compliance with internal policies.
• Support production and non-production database environments.
• Assist development teams with database deployments, releases, and data migrations.
• Monitor database health, capacity planning, and storage usage.
• Maintain documentation for database operations, ETL processes, and best practices.
• Ensure high availability, reliability, and disaster recovery readiness.

Required Skills & Experience

• 2–4 years of hands-on experience as a Database Administrator (DBA).
• Strong expertise in Microsoft SQL Server administration.
• Hands-on experience with SSIS and ETL pipeline management.
• Good understanding of data integration, scheduling, and job monitoring.
• Experience with backup strategies, recovery models, and disaster recovery planning.
• Working knowledge of performance monitoring and tuning.
• Familiarity with database security, roles, permissions, and auditing.
• Experience supporting production database environments.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Experience with SQL Server Always On, Failover Clustering, or Replication.
• Exposure to Azure SQL, Azure Data Factory, or AWS RDS is an added advantage.
• SQL Server or Microsoft Azure certifications are a plus.
• Experience in banking or BFSI environments preferred.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
