Job Description

We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Database Administrator to join our growing team. As a DBA, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining our databases to ensure optimal performance, security, and reliability. This is a 100% remote position based in India , offering the flexibility to work from anywhere while contributing to high-impact projects. Key Responsibilities: Install, configure, and maintain database systems (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, SQL Server) Monitor performance and ensure system availability and reliability Implement database backup, recovery, and failover procedures Optimize queries and database structures for performance tuning Handle database migrations and upgrades Ensure data security and compliance with industry best practices Collaborate with developers and other IT teams to support applications Automate routine tasks using scripting languages (e.g., Shell, Python) Maintain proper documentation of database systems and processes Required Skills & Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field 3+ years of experience as a Database Administrator or in a similar role Strong hands-on experience with SQL and RDBMS technologies Experience with performance tuning , query optimization , and database troubleshooting Knowledge of database security , high availability , and disaster recovery solutions Familiarity with cloud-based databases (e.g., AWS RDS, Azure SQL, Google Cloud) Good scripting knowledge (Bash, Python, etc.) is a plus Strong communication skills and ability to work in a remote, collaborative environment Show more Show less
