Data Scientist

Your role: - Passionate about directly impacting the business through analytical and machine learning skills - Play a key role in mining large datasets, building advanced statistical models, and generating actionable insights - Improve decision making, optimize business processes, and address business problems Your team: - Part of the Data Science team in the Data Analytics Foundational Platform Team (DAFP), WMA - Global team based in US, Poland, and China Key responsibilities: - Contribute to end-to-end model development and deployment - Develop and maintain LLM evaluation tooling to track model performance - Communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences Your expertise: - 5 years of practical experience in natural language processing, machine learning, deep learning, and prompt engineering - Proficiency in GenAI, RAG, Python, PyTorch, transformers, LangChain, openai, spaCy - Experience in developing information retrieval and search solutions - Hands-on experience with Large Language Model APIs like Azure OpenAI, Anthropic - Practical experience with version control and software engineering best practices - Experience working with cloud ecosystems like Azure, AWS, GCP, Databricks - Strong written and verbal communication skills - Bachelor's degree or higher in Machine Learning, Computer Science, or related field About us: UBS is the world's largest and only truly global wealth manager.
