As an experienced candidate with over 10 years of experience, you will be responsible for the following tasks: **Role Overview:** You will be involved in the preparation, installation, and ongoing maintenance of Posit products including Posit Workbench, Posit Connect, and Posit Package Manager. **Key Responsibilities:** - **Preparation:** - Ensure system requirements for target servers meet the specifications for each Posit product (OS, CPU, RAM, disk space). - Verify network configuration to allow inbound/outbound traffic as needed. - **Installation of Posit Workbench:** - Install R, Python, Quarto, and Posit Workbench package for your OS. - Configure the Workbench through configuration files. - Start the Workbench service, test the installation. - **Installation of Posit Connect:** - Install Connect package, configure server URL, authentication methods, SSL, and start the service. - Test by publishing content from RStudio to Connect. - **Installation of Posit Package Manager:** - Install Package Manager package, configure repositories, access controls, and start the service. - Test by accessing the Package Manager through a web browser and installing packages. - **Ongoing Maintenance:** - Apply updates and patches regularly to Posit products and dependencies. - Monitor and manage license usage, renew licenses as necessary. - Establish a support plan for internal teams or Posit support. **Qualifications Required:** - 10+ years of relevant experience in system administration or software installation. - Strong knowledge of R, Python, and system configurations. - Experience with network setup and maintenance. - Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues efficiently.
