We are looking for a skilled Requirements Engineer who has good experience working on automotive Battery Management Systems (BMS). Incubent should have 8 years of hands-on experience in requirements engineering, systems engineering, or product development, with a history of successfully handling and defining detailed system requirements using Polarion or similar ALM tools. Required Qualifications Bachelors or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Mechatronics, or related field. 8+ years of experience in requirements engineering, with at least 3+ years in automotive Battery Management System (BMS) development. Proficiency in Polarion ALM or similar tools (e.g., DOORS). Key Responsibilities Elicit, analyze, define, and manage system and software requirements for Battery Management Systems in compliance with AIS 156, ISO 26262 and other automotive standards. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including hardware, software, validation, safety, and systems teams to ensure requirement clarity and completeness. Utilize Polarion for requirements authoring, traceability, versioning, change management, and reporting. Develop and maintain traceability matrices, requirement hierarchies, and interface requirements. Participate in design reviews, FMEAs, hazard analysis, and safety concept development. Support V-model or ASPICE-compliant development lifecycles, ensuring requirements coverage across all development phases. Manage requirements change control and impact analysis during the product development lifecycle. Coordinate with stakeholders to align on functional and technical specifications. Experience: 6 8 Years Mandatory Skills B.E in (Electronics & Communication/ E&E only) Hands on Automotive Embedded Product development life cycle. Hands on LIN, SPI, I2C and UART protocol KWP 2000, UDS Diagnostics Knowledge/Exposure to 8bit/16bit/32bit micro controllers Understanding of Hardware Engineering, Software Engineering, Test & Verification Engineering, Validation Engineering, and Manufacturing Engineering An analytical mind with Ability to problem-solve and Eager to continually learn and improve Knowledge/Exposure to ASPICE framework Tools : Doors, SVN, Jira ,Vector Canoe Additional Skills Experience of ECU system engineering in any of the automotive products like window regulator, Sunroof, Door Modules, BCM, or Instrument Cluster Experience in cyber security engineering in automotive domain. Knowledge on safety standards ISO 26262 would be advantage Customer Requirement Analysis. Perform DFMEA, FTA, DFA at electronics system level. Write detailed electronics system requirement and manage it Write functional safety requirement in accordance with ISO 26262 (ASIL A/B) Perform System Level and Vehicle Level Testing. Participate in customer requirement discussion and work as part of global Design team in a very dynamic and fast-paced environment Develop/Automate system validation bench Adhere and maintain the ECU development system and processes Support Application Engineer in field related problem solving Collaboration with cross-functional teams (Software, Electrical, Manufacturing, Validation) to prioritize customer needs, supporting sample requests, addressing product quality concerns, and developing new products and capabilities Interacting with project stakeholders, other Systems Engineers, Suppliers and Vendors.
