Data Scientist

Responsibilities

• Analyze raw data: assessing quality, cleansing, structuring for downstream processing
• Design accurate and scalable prediction algorithms
• Collaborate with engineering team to bring analytical prototypes to production
• Generate actionable insights for business improvements
• A proactive problem-solver, quick learner, and reliable team player with a can-do attitude.
• Strong sense of discipline, ownership, and commitment to delivering high-quality work.
• Solid coding skills, with a focus on clean, efficient, and maintainable code.
• Good foundation of data structures, algorithms, operating systems, computer architecture, mathematics, and statistics.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in quantative field (Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, etc.)
• At least 1 - 2 years' of experience in quantitative analytics or data modeling
• Deep understanding of predictive modeling, machine-learning, clustering and classification techniques, and algorithms
• Fluency in a programming language (Python, C,C++, Java, SQL)
• Familiarity with Big Data frameworks and visualization tools (Cassandra, Hadoop, Spark, Tableau)
• Proficiency in Python and SQL.
• Strong knowledge of AI/ML concepts, particularly in anomaly detection, predictive analytics, clustering, NLP, neural networks, and large language models (LLMs).
• Hands-on experience with machine learning libraries and frameworks such as NumPy, pandas, scikit-learn, PyTorch, and TensorFlow.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS and Azure, especially with AI/ML and data-related services.
• Experience working with databases, including relational, NoSQL, document, graph and vector databases.
• Exposure to big data technologies is welcome.
• Experience in image processing is an advantage.
• Exposure to DevOps and MLOps practices is a plus.
• Familiarity with AIS (Automatic Identification System) data is a plus.
• Experience developing chatbots, voice assistants, or customer service applications is a plus.
• Experience in web crawling, data collection, processing, and integrating external data sources is a plus.
• Experiences with HS Code Classification is a plus.
