Overview: Key Responsibilities: Lead the GDPR implementation and compliance efforts across the organization. Conduct thorough GDPR risk assessments and impact analyses. Develop and implement GDPR compliance policies and procedures. Train and educate staff on GDPR requirements and best practices. Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to ensure compliance. Monitor data protection compliance and data processing activities. Manage data breach response and reporting procedures. Perform regular audits to ensure ongoing GDPR compliance. Stay updated with the latest developments in data protection laws and regulations. Collaborate with IT and security teams to ensure the implementation of technical safeguards. Document and maintain records of processing activities. Responsibilities: Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in law, Information Technology, Business, or a related field. A master’s degree is preferred. At least 10 years of experience in data protection, privacy laws, or GDPR compliance. Professional certification such as CIPP/E, CIPM , or similar is mandatory Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously. Experience with data protection impact assessments, data protection principles, and data breach management. Skills and Competencies: Deep understanding of data protection and privacy regulations along with Project management skills. Ability to communicate complex regulatory requirements in a clear and concise manner. Strong ethical standards and commitment to privacy and data protection. Proficiency in using data protection management tools and software. Preferred Experience: Experience working in a similar role within a multinational organization. Familiarity with other global data protection regulations such as CCPA, HIPAA, APPI, DPDPA, POPIA, PIPEDA etc. Experience in a legal advisory role or as a Data Protection Officer (DPO).
