Data Integration (Talend) Team Lead

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage a team of 3-5 data engineers in the development and maintenance of data integration workflows using Talend DI and Talend ESB.
• Design, build, and optimize scalable data pipelines to support business requirements.
• Manage data exchange processes using RabbitMQ, Kafka, and SFTP.
• Work with Oracle, SQL, MySQL, and NoSQL databases for data storage, querying, and performance optimization.
• Develop and maintain efficient code using Java (JEE), SQL, and scripting languages such as PowerShell and XML.
• Support web-based reporting and visualization requirements using HTML where applicable.
• Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines and version control using Git, Azure tools, and Nexus.
• Design secure, scalable system architectures following REST principles and integration best practices.
• Ensure data accuracy, consistency, security, and compliance across all integration solutions.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality, data-driven solutions.
• Stay updated with emerging tools, technologies, and industry trends to continuously improve processes.

Skills Required:

• Strong experience in data integration concepts, tools, and enterprise integration patterns.
• Proven hands-on experience with Talend Data Integration and Talend ESB for building and managing integration workflows.
• Demonstrated experience in people management, including mentoring, task allocation, and performance management.
• Strong working experience with messaging systems such as RabbitMQ and Kafka.
• Hands-on experience working with relational and NoSQL databases including Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL, and NoSQL platforms.
• Proficiency in Java (JEE), SQL, and scripting languages such as PowerShell and XML.
• Good understanding of REST-based architectures and API integration principles.
• Experience with version control systems and CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Git, Azure Release Pipeline, Azure Repositories, and Nexus.
• Strong understanding of data quality, data security, and governance best practices.
• Familiarity with Agile methodology and collaborative development practices is an added advantage.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to work across teams.
