Job Description

As a Data Governance Specialist, your role involves developing and maintaining enterprise-wide data governance strategies, standards, and policies. You will align governance practices with business objectives like regulatory compliance and analytics readiness. Your responsibilities include defining roles and responsibilities within the governance operating model, conducting governance maturity assessments, and leading change management initiatives. Key Responsibilities: - Define stewardship models and create enablement programs - Conduct training sessions and develop communication programs to promote governance awareness - Collaborate with IT, legal, business, and compliance teams to ensure alignment on governance priorities - Design scalable and modular data governance architecture - Evaluate tools such as Microsoft Purview, Collibra, Alation, BigID, and Informatica for seamless integration - Lead the implementation and management of Microsoft Purview solution architecture - Configure RBAC, collections, metadata scanning, business glossary, and classification rules - Implement sensitivity labels, insider risk controls, retention policies, data mapping, and audit dashboards - Architect metadata repositories and ingestion workflows for end-to-end lineage - Define governance over business glossary and approval workflows to maintain data integrity and accessibility Qualifications Required: - Strong expertise in metadata, lineage, and glossary management - Experience with tools like Microsoft Purview, Collibra, Alation, BigID, and Informatica - Knowledge of data governance best practices and industry standards - Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work across different teams - Ability to drive change management initiatives and promote governance awareness Note: Additional details about the company were not provided in the job description.,
