Data Engineering Senior Engineer

Position Description:

The Principal role of the Data Engineer Write stored procedures, functions and develop data model to deliver and support the Variable Marketing Product features. Responsibilities include development, production/operations support, process and controls. Responsible to liaison with Interfacing PDO teams, Other IT Skill Teams and Business Customers to deliver the product commitments. Work with Product Manager, Product Owner and Product Team members on Backlog Refinement, Estimation, Release & Iteration Planning, Delivery and Launch.

1. Writing and optimizing complex SQL queries, functions, and stored procedures. 2. Ensuring data integrity, security, and high performance through monitoring and tuning. 3. collaborating with development teams 4. implementing backup and recovery strategies; and performing database maintenance, upgrades, and migrations to ensure scalability and availability. 5. Responsibilities include development, production/operations support, process and controls. 6. Delivers features/user stories that contribute to a valuable working software product. 7. Liason with Interfacing PDO teams, Other IT Skill Teams and Business Customers to deliver the product commitments. 8. Should work with Product Manager, Product Owner and Product Team members on Backlog Refinement and Estimation 9. Partners with a Product Anchor and Product Designer understand each user story's use case and execute a user-friendly product experience. 10. Perform manual/automated unit tests with working software, to confirm software functionality conformance to functional and non-functional requirements. 11. Perform manual/automated functional tests to confirm user story acceptance and to detect regression defects. 12. Reviews ongoing production software operations and troubleshoots production issues 13. Experience is SDLC, Agile and DevOps methodologies 14. Experience in Incident Management, Problem Management, Request Fulfillment processes 15. Good understanding of IT Security and Controls 16. Exposure to Quality Control Procedures and Practices 17. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills 18. Able to work independently, liaison with business and other stakeholders 19. Possess a continuous improvement mindset 20. Should be a self-starter with ability to work on complex changes with minimal guidance.
