Data Engineering Associate Advisor

Position Overview

Develop software solutions for one of the Behavioral Health and Care Solutions Delivery teams. This individual will be working on several of the largest Technology initiatives for Evernorth targeted at revolutionizing Health Services and Healthcare Delivery system in the United States. The focus of the work is to continue to enhance Evernorth’s market winning capabilities in the Behavioral Health and Care Solutions space. The Technology strategy is completely aligned to our business strategy and the candidate will be able to influence technology\business direction within a world class Delivery Vertical. The solution focuses on enabling this change through the use of the latest technologies and development techniques.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test and maintain complex software solutions.
• Perform troubleshooting and problem resolution.
• Develop engineering solutions in alignment with the Technology strategy and meeting application’s requirements as well as industry standard best practices.
• Sizes User Stories based on time / difficulty to complete.
• Discuss risks, dependencies, and assumptions.
• Determine if User Stories meet the Definition of Ready
• Design and implement and optimize SQL Server Databases
• Develop complex SQL Queries, Stored Procedures, Functions and Views
• Design and develop and maintain ETL Processes to extract data from various sources

Qualifications

Required Skills:

• Proven experience delivering complex software solutions.
• Working experience with Microsoft SQL Server
• Experience with SSIS and ETL development
• Strong analytical problem-solving skills
• Familiarity with agile methodology including SCRUM team.

• Familiarity with modern delivery practices such as continuous integration, behavior/test driven development, and specification by example.
• Proven experience with architecture, design, and development of large-scale enterprise application solutions.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact with all levels of the organization.
• Strong interpersonal/relationship management skills.

Desired Skills:

• Proficient in performance tuning optimization
• Strong understanding of database design and data modeling principles
• knowledge of data warehousing concepts and methodologies
• Knowledge of python and other databases

Required Experience & Education:

• 8-13 Years Experience
• College degree (Bachelor) in related technical/business areas or equivalent work experience.
