Role Overview:

As an AWS Data Engineer, you’ll design and build cloud-native data pipelines, collaborate across teams, and lead innovation in data engineering practices. Your work will directly impact our ability to deliver high-quality, secure, and scalable data solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, deploy, and maintain automated, test-driven data pipelines in AWS.
• Collaborate with data scientists, architects, and business teams to source and format data.
• Evaluate and implement emerging batch and streaming technologies.
• Define best practices and mentor ETL developers transitioning to cloud data engineering.
• Ensure data integrity, security, and compliance across platforms.
• Enhance CI/CD pipelines and contribute to DataOps improvements.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree with 10+ years in application development.
• 4+ years in big data and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Proficiency in Python, SQL, Scala, or Java.
• Experience with distributed computing tools (Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, etc.).
• Strong background in real-time streaming, NoSQL (MongoDB, Cassandra), and data warehousing (Redshift).
• UNIX/Linux expertise and Agile engineering practices.
• SQL optimization and PySpark experience.
• Familiarity with orchestration tools (Airflow, KubeFlow, AWS Step Functions).

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with machine learning, API development, and Data-as-a-Service platforms.
