Job Title: Data Engineer

As a Data Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining data pipelines, as well as developing visualizations and reports to enable data-driven decision-making. The ideal candidate will have expertise in Tableau, SQL, Python, and Power BI, along with a strong background in data engineering principles and practices.

Responsibilities:

Design, build, and optimize data pipelines to extract, transform, and load (ETL) data from various sources into our data warehouse.

Develop and maintain SQL scripts and queries for data manipulation, analysis, and reporting purposes.

Utilize Python for scripting, automation, and advanced data processing tasks.

Create interactive dashboards, reports, and visualizations using Tableau and Power BI to convey insights and trends from the data.

Collaborate with stakeholders to understand data requirements and translate them into technical solutions.

Ensure data quality and integrity by implementing data validation and cleansing processes.

Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in data engineering, analytics, and visualization tools.

Provide technical guidance and support to junior team members as needed.

Requirements:

Bachelor's/ Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.

3-5 years of experience in data engineering, business intelligence, or a similar role.

Proficiency in SQL for data querying, manipulation, and optimization.

Strong programming skills in Python for data processing, scripting, and automation.

Experience creating interactive visualizations and reports using Tableau and/or Power BI.

Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts, ETL processes, and data modelling techniques.

Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.

Knowledge of machine learning algorithms and statistical analysis techniques.

Certifications in relevant technologies (e.g., Tableau Desktop Specialist, Microsoft Certified: Data Analyst Associate, etc

Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.

Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
