As an Issue Remediation Analyst at Citi, you will be part of the Remediation & Remuneration COE team responsible for coordinating customer-facing remediation efforts across various functions. Your role will involve managing the analysis of customer remediation issues in the retail consumer bank globally. You will be responsible for executing a comprehensive data remediation approach to address gaps observed in policies and governance, whether self-identified or through internal audit findings. Additionally, you will assess the impact of these issues by identifying the number of customers and the financial implications involved. Your duties will also include conducting root cause analysis to identify the underlying issues using analytical methods and providing support for audits by tracking implementation plans and supplying necessary data evidence. To excel in this role, you should be proficient in tools and platforms such as SAS, SQL, RDBMS, Teradata, Unix, MS Excel, PowerPoint, VBA, Jira, Bitbucket, and Mainframes. Exposure to Big Data and Python would be advantageous. A solid understanding of the banking domain and various consumer products like retail banking, deposits, loans, wealth management, mortgage, and insurance is essential. Knowledge of finance regulations and retail banking operations will be preferred. Your analytical and interpersonal skills will play a crucial role in identifying and solving complex business problems, presenting insights to management effectively, and generating actionable business insights through data analysis and management. Strong communication, interpersonal, and process management skills are also required to collaborate effectively within a team. The ideal candidate for this position should hold a Master's or an advanced degree in Information Technology, Computer Applications, Engineering, or MBA from a reputable institution. You should have a minimum of 2-5 years of overall experience with at least 1 year in the banking industry delivering data solutions.
