Data Collection and Management:

• Collecting data from primary and secondary sources.
• Cleaning and validating data to ensure accuracy, completeness, and uniformity.

Data Analysis:

• Analyzing data using statistical techniques and providing reports.
• Developing and implementing databases and data collection systems.

Reporting:

• Interpreting data and analyzing results using statistical techniques.
• Preparing reports that effectively communicate trends, patterns, and predictions using relevant data.

Problem-Solving:

• Working with management to prioritize business and information needs.
• Identifying, analyzing, and interpreting trends or patterns in complex data sets.

Collaboration:

• Collaborating with different departments to improve business outcomes.
• Liaising with stakeholders to understand data content and business requirements.

Tool and Technique Utilization:

• Utilizing tools and techniques for analyzing large databases.
• Designing and creating data reports and reporting tools to help business executives in their decision-making.

Process Improvement:

• Recommending and implementing ways to improve data reliability, efficiency, and quality.

Strategy Development:

• Supporting business decisions with ad hoc analysis as needed.
• Assisting with the development of analytics strategies that enable a data-driven approach to business.

Requirements:

Educational Qualifications:

• Course related to Data analysis, Computer Science, Information Management, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field.

Experience:

• Proven working experience as a Data Analyst or Business Data Analyst.

Experience in data models and reporting packages.

Technical Skills:

• Strong knowledge of and experience with reporting packages (Business Objects etc.), databases (SQL etc.), programming (XML, JavaScript, or ETL frameworks).

Analytical Skills:

• Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.

Statistical Knowledge:

• Adept at queries, report writing, and presenting findings.
• Knowledge of statistics and experience using statistical packages for analyzing datasets (Excel, SPSS, SAS, etc.).

Communication Skills:

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Problem-Solving:

• Strong problem-solving skills and critical thinking.

Time Management:

• Ability to manage time effectively and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

Continuous Learning:

• Eagerness to learn and master new technologies and techniques.
