We are looking for a

Data Analyst Associate

for our upcoming

Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) election project

. The ideal candidate will be responsible for handling large-scale political and voter data, ensuring data accuracy through cleaning and validation, and presenting actionable insights through visual dashboards. This is a

project-based position

requiring an immediate joiner with a strong understanding of political dynamics and data interpretation.We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Data Analyst to join our team. The ideal candidate should have strong skills in data cleaning using Excel, familiarity with lookup functions

(VLOOKUP, XLOOKUP)

, and an interest in political and social research. Experience with

Looker Studio

(Data Studio) or similar dashboarding tools will be a strong advantage.

Key Responsibilities

Clean, organize, and validate raw survey and research data, primarily using ExcelApply VLOOKUP, XLOOKUP, IF, COUNTIF, SUMIF, and other Excel formulas to process datasetsWork with large data files to ensure accuracy, consistency, and completenessPrepare clean datasets for analysis and reportingSupport in building basic dashboards and visual reports using Looker StudioCollaborate with research and analytics teams to provide timely and actionable insightsInterpret data in the context of political and social issues, supporting election-related and policy-driven projectsDocument data cleaning processes and help develop internal SOPs

Required Skills

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel: VLOOKUP, XLOOKUP, pivot tables, text functions, logical formulas, data cleaning techniquesBasic knowledge of data validation, deduplication, and reformattingStrong attention to detail and accuracyAbility to handle structured and unstructured dataInterest in Indian politics, elections, governance, and public policyGood written and verbal communication skills

Preferred/Bonus Skills

Experience in Google Looker Studio (formerly Data Studio) or any dashboarding toolExposure to survey data, polls, or field researchKnowledge of basic SQL or Python (not mandatory)
