Data Analyst

As a Data Analyst at JAM, your primary role will be to expand and deepen our business intelligence tools. You will work with financial and operational data to build, troubleshoot, and maintain dashboards. Your responsibilities will include understanding and refining existing data pipelines, identifying trends, key variances, and performance against metrics, and delivering reports and insights to stakeholders. Key Responsibilities: - Work with financial and operational data to build, troubleshoot, and maintain dashboards. - Understand and refine existing data pipelines to ensure data accuracy and efficiency. - Identify trends, key variances, and performance against metrics. - Communicate insights to various internal user groups. Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in mathematics, computer science, economics, statistics, or equivalent accreditation in data or financial analytics. - 1-3 years of experience in a business intelligence, data analytics, or data visualization role. - Proficiency in data visualization software (Looker, Tableau, PowerBI/DAX, etc). - Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills. - Strong grasp of Python and SQL. - Experience with statistics, machine learning, and AI tools for business intelligence applications is considered an asset. - Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting is considered an asset. - Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. - Persistent, detail-oriented, and highly committed to problem-solving. - Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. - Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion. In addition to your primary responsibilities, this full-time position at JAM requires 37.5 hours per week, primarily working 9 am - 5 pm EDT, Monday - Friday, with occasional travel to Toronto/GTA. The compensation for this position is $50,000 - $55,000 CAD annually, commensurate with experience, along with additional benefits such as Friday afternoon Go Play Days during the summer months and complimentary league play.
