Job Description

Job Summary:

A Cybersecurity Specialist protects an organization’s computer systems, networks, and data from cyber threats.
This role involves monitoring systems for vulnerabilities, investigating security incidents, implementing protective measures, and ensuring compliance with security policies and regulations.

Responsibilities:

Monitor networks and systems for security breaches or unusual activity
Perform vulnerability assessments and penetration testing
Implement and maintain firewalls, antivirus, and security tools
Develop and enforce security policies, standards, and procedures
Respond to and investigate security incidents and breaches
Conduct risk analysis and suggest improvements to enhance security posture
Stay up to date with emerging cyber threats and technologies
Collaborate with IT and management teams to ensure data protection and compliance

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field
Knowledge of network security, operating systems, and encryption
Familiarity with tools such as SIEM, IDS/IPS, firewalls, and endpoint protection
Strong understanding of cybersecurity frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001)
Certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CEH, CISSP, or CISM (preferred)
Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving and incident response skills

Security Tools: Splunk, Wireshark, Nessus, CrowdStrike, Palo Alto, Fortinet
Operating Systems: Windows, Linux, macOS
Cloud Security: AWS, Azure, GCP security configurations
