Cyber Security Analyst

You will be responsible for supporting Info Sec & Cyber Ops with security analysis and requests. This includes monitoring network traffic, security alerts, and logs for suspicious activity, potential threats, and vulnerabilities. You will collaborate with the Security Operations Centre (SOC) to investigate security incidents, determine scope, impact, and take remediation steps. Additionally, identifying, assessing, and prioritizing security risks & vulnerabilities will be part of your role, working closely with the risk management team to communicate cybersecurity risks effectively and ensure mitigation. Ensuring security compliance with industry regulations (GDPR, DORA, ISO27001, NIS 2, SOC 2) and integrating security controls into systems, applications, and networks with various teams will also be essential. Providing security guidance for new projects and system implementations, assisting in developing cybersecurity awareness programs, and preparing detailed security reports and vulnerability assessments for the Director of Info Sec & Cyber Ops will be part of your responsibilities. You will also be involved in developing, maintaining, and enforcing security policies, standards, and procedures adhering to industry best practices and regulatory requirements for financial services. - 2+ years of experience in cybersecurity, focusing on financial services or similarly regulated industries - Proven experience in conducting vulnerability assessments, threat analysis, incident response, and risk management - Experience with security tools such as SIEM platforms (e.g., CS NG-SIEM, Splunk), Tenable/Nessus, email security gateways, firewalls, antivirus, IDS/IPS, and endpoint detection systems - Familiarity with industry standards and regulatory frameworks (e.g., GDPR, DORA, ISO27001, NIS 2, SOC 2) The ideal candidate should have one or more of the following: - Third-Level Degree in Computer Science - CompTIA Certification or similar (Security+, Cloud+, CySA+) - CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional),
