Position Overview

PPC Engineer

Key Responsibilities

Production Planning

• Develop daily, weekly, and monthly production plans based on customer orders, forecasts, and capacity.
  
• Schedule production activities to optimize machine utilization and minimize downtime.
  
• Align production schedules with manpower availability and material readiness.
  

Material Planning & Inventory Control

• Prepare material requirement plans (MRP) based on BOMs and production schedules.
  
• Coordinate with procurement and stores teams to ensure timely availability of raw materials and components.
  
• Monitor stock levels, consumption patterns, and reorder points.
  

Workflow & Process Management

• Track work progress across production stages and ensure adherence to timelines.
  
• Identify bottlenecks and coordinate corrective actions to avoid delays.
  
• Optimize routing, process flow, and resource allocation to improve productivity.
  

Coordination & Communication

• Work closely with Production, Quality, Maintenance, Logistics, and Purchase teams.
  
• Update management on production status, shortages, schedule deviations, and risks.
  
• Communicate delivery commitments to sales and customer teams.
  

Documentation & Reporting

• Maintain production schedules, job orders, and work-in-progress (WIP) records.
  
• Generate daily, weekly, and monthly PPC reports.
  
• Analyze production data to support continuous improvement initiatives.
  

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelors / Diploma in Mechanical, Industrial, Production Engineering, or related field.
  
• Experience in production planning, scheduling, and inventory management.
  
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes, BOMs, routing, and capacity planning.
  
• Proficiency in MS Excel, ERP/MRP systems (SAP, Oracle, Tally, Odoo, etc.).
  
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  
• Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  

Preferred Skills (Good to Have)

• Experience in Lean Manufacturing/5S/Kaizen principles.
  
• Familiarity with Just-In-Time (JIT) and Kanban systems.
  
• Knowledge of advanced planning and scheduling (APS) tools.
  
• Exposure to ISO and quality management systems
